Thai rising star Shadow Singha Mawynn is just days away from the biggest moment of his 93-fight professional career.pinaswin88
On December 20 in Asia primetime, the 24-year-old will battle decorated Thai legend Sitthichai “Killer Kid” Sitsongpeenong in a high-stakes featherweight Muay Thai bout in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 92 at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium.

Pool A will consist of the defending champion Railway Sports Promotion Board (RSPB – Indian Railways), along with Indian Army – Red, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL), Hockey Maharastra and Hockey Unit Of Tamil Nadu (HUTN).
For Shadow, the fight represents his chance to beat a legendary striker, steal his #3 spot in the featherweight Muay Thai rankings, and – quite possibly – earn a six-figure contract with ONE’s global roster.
After suffering a defeat in his promotional debut earlier this year, the Singha Mawynn product has since rattled off a trio of impressive wins, most recently handing Iranian star Mohammad Siasarani his first defeat in ONE.
Many fans expected that dominant victory to earn Shadow a coveted contract, but he told onefc.com that he still has more to prove:
“After I beat Mohammad, I still didn’t get the contract. I wasn’t surprised because I thought that when it comes to being on the global stage, I have to do better, and it wasn’t my time yet. But I think the time will come.”
If he can get past “Killer Kid” at ONE Friday Fights 92, Shadow will erase any doubts that he belongs among the best strikers in the world.
After all, Sitthichai is a former eight-time Kickboxing and Muay Thai World Champion, long regarded as a pound-for-pound great.
For his part, Shadow knows that a strong result to close out his 2024 would do wonders for his future and solidify him as an elite talent:
“A win over Sitthichai would greatly impact my career. If I beat him, people will know more about me, and I will have more fans. Most importantly, I might get a ONE contract in this fight. A six-figure ONE Championship contract would be the best New Year’s gift of my life.”
Beyond a life-changing contract and the legions of fans he would gain overnight, a victory for the young striker would almost certainly plant him in the featherweight Muay Thai top five.
A top-five ranking, Shadow said, would also see him knocking on the door of a shot at his ultimate goal – the ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Title:
“Sitthichai is currently ranked #3 in the featherweight division. I think if I beat him, I have a chance to put my name in the rankings. And if I can get into ONE Championship, my next goal would be to challenge the World Champion, whoever the World Champion is at the time.”
While Shadow Singha Mawynn is happy to think of all the fame and acclaim that would come with a win over Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong, he’ll first have to get inside the ring and go toe-to-toe with the hard-hitting veteran.
Some athletes might feel anxious about facing an icon of the striking arts, but Shadow is embracing the massive opportunity before him:
“The moment I found out I was going to fight Sitthichai, was I nervous? I wasn’t nervous or pressured at all because I have nothing to lose. If I beat him, it would be like I got an elevator ride because Sitthichai is a living legend.
“When I was a kid, I heard about him and watched his fights. He is one of the best strikers in the world, but I will do my best.”
In terms of style, it’s no secret that “Killer Kid” is an ultra-skilled southpaw who loves to chase the knockout with his ruthless left-sided weapons.
Shadow explained:
“Sitthichai’s most fearsome weapon is probably his left kick. I have to be careful of his left kick and left punch. And also his vast experience because he is a veteran.”
Sitthichai hasn’t competed since his thrilling victory over Japanese sensation Masaaki Noiri in June at ONE 167. Since then, Shadow has fought twice, defeating former ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Title challenger Jimmy Vienot and Mohammad Siasarani.
As the fresher, more active fighter, Shadow plans to come out guns blazing and force his foe on the back foot from the opening bell.

“Overall, I think I will pressure him because he hasn’t fought in a long time. But I won’t underestimate him because he is experienced and possesses dangerous weapons.”
