Boland had come into the second Test which was a Day-Night affair in Adelaide. The pacer had done well taking five wicket across the two innings. However, Australia captain Pat Cummins was clear about Hazlewood's return.
"Josh comes back in ... had no hiccups. Had a really good bowl yesterday, had another good bowl in Adelaide a few days previous. Him and the medical team are super confident," Cummins was quoted as saying on the eve of the Brisbane Test by cricket.com.au.
Hazlewood, a vital cog in the Australian bowling line-up, had a good outing in the opening Test of the Border-Gavaskar Trophy in Perth. He picked up four wickets in the first innings before adding one more in the second. He was economical throughout the Test match. However, he had to be dropped ahead of the second Test due to a side strain.
The series is evenly poised going into the third Test with both teams having won a game each. India defeated Australia in the opening Test of the series by 295 runs but Australia bounced back hard to beat India by 10 wickets in the second Test.pinaswin88
