Ahead of Vic Sotto’s filing of a case against the “maker of the Pepsi Paloma trailer,” Darryl Yap, the director behind the upcoming movie, described the late sexy actress as a “victim.”

Sotto’s camp earlier informed the members of the media about their planned filing of a complaint before the Muntinlupa Prosecutor’s Office on Thursday, Jan. 9, at 10 a.m. This apparently stemmed from the mention of the TV host’s name in Yap’s film trailer as one of the alleged rapists of Paloma.

Yap then shared a screenshot of the media advisory as well as reports about it via his Facebook page on Wednesday, Jan. 8.

SFC+ on Wednesday said its mobile app was currently available for select users, but it would be available for download via the Google Play Store and App Store by Oct. 15.

The filmmaker also shared a photo of Paloma in a separate post, adding the caption “V I C T I M” and the hashtags “Pepsi Paloma” and “TROPP,” which stands for the title of his film.

Yap, however, has yet to publicly make a comment on Sotto’s legal action as of this writing.

Yap released on Jan. 2 the trailer of his movie, which drew mixed reaction from netizens. The trailer featured a scene in which Gina Alajar, who portrays Charito Solis, confronts Rhed Bustamante, who plays the role of Paloma, if she was indeed raped by Sotto.

Responding to the reactions to the trailer, Yap claimed that the film is a “shocking truthful revelation,” saying he had no personal or political motive to pin down Sotto. He further said the project’s storyline was based on the accounts of the late sexy star’s family.
